What is the MRA grant?
- The Market Readiness Assistance grant supports eligible Singapore companies expanding into a new overseas market. As at August 2026, support is available across three pillars: overseas market promotion, overseas business development and overseas market set-up.
- Current Enterprise Singapore guidance states support of up to 70% of eligible costs for local SMEs, capped at S$100,000 per company per new market: up to S$20,000 for overseas market promotion, S$50,000 for overseas business development and S$30,000 for overseas market set-up. Each application is limited to one activity in one overseas market, and approval remains subject to Enterprise Singapore’s assessment and grant conditions.
Who may be eligible?
- A business entity registered and operating in Singapore.
- At least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singapore citizens and/or Permanent Residents, based on ultimate individual ownership.
- New to the target overseas market, with annual sales there not exceeding S$100,000 in any of the preceding three years.
- Group annual sales turnover not exceeding S$100 million, or group employment not exceeding 200 employees.
